A visit to the City of York is a must, with its majestic Minster, the world famous National Railway Museum, the fascinating Castle Museum and haunting Clifford’s Tower to name but a few of the many things to see and do. Whether it be your choice to take a stroll down the many alleys and ‘snickel ways’ located throughout the city, walking the 2.7 miles of city walls with wonderful views of the city, going back further in time at the Jorvik Viking Centre for a glimpse of Viking York or taking a leisurely cruise on the River Ouse, there is something to satisfy everyone in York. Many of the shops in York are individual and unique and are set in beautiful historic streets such as the Shambles and Stonegate.
